STATEWIDE BUILDER LICENSING IS EFFECTIVE JULY 1

Key Licensing Provisions

• July 1, 2008 marks the beginning of statewide licensing for those involved with contractor work relative to detached one & two family residences, townhouses, multifamily buildings as well as light commercial buildings.
• Anyone securing a building permit for any of the previously mentioned contractor work will be required to have a Georgia license to obtain that permit on and after July 1, 2008 .
  Building officials who knowingly issue a permit for work requiring a licensed builder to an unlicensed individual are liable for a fine of up to $500.
• All contracts made on and after July 1, 2008 , for work that requires a licensed builder that is performed by unlicensed individuals will have no legal standing.

Christian Roofing and Remodeling is proud to announce the addition of Matt Tingle to the sales and estimation staff. Matt is a graduate of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, and is originally from Watkinsville. Matt will serve in the capacity of Remodeling Estimator.
